Investigations into Lulinha and Flávio Bolsonaro impact political campaigns

A Quaest poll indicates that legal investigations involving Fábio Luís Lula da Silva (known as Lulinha) and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro are significantly impacting their respective political campaigns. According to the survey, 40% of respondents believe the Lulinha case harms President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s campaign significantly, while 42% believe suspicions regarding Flávio Bolsonaro and Banco Master heavily impact his campaign.

Regarding the Lulinha investigation, 54% of voters found the President’s explanations unconvincing. Similarly, 52% of respondents felt Flávio Bolsonaro’s explanations regarding the Banco Master case were not satisfactory. Both cases have high public awareness, with 66% of voters reporting knowledge of both issues.

Separately, judicial documents from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) revealed that information regarding a Federal Police operation, titled Operation Coffee Break, was leaked before it was executed. The investigation targets a suspected corruption, money laundering, and influence peddling scheme involving businesspeople and public agents. The leak reportedly involved communications between targets, including Kalil Bittar, a business partner of Lulinha, and former Sumaré Education Secretary José Aparecido Marin, who was allegedly involved in attempts to delete sensitive digital content.
