Investment simulations analyze returns in Brazil

Financial simulations in Brazil highlight how different investment vehicles impact wealth accumulation and monthly income. To generate a net monthly income of R$ 5,000 through a CDB paying 100% of the CDI, an investor would currently require approximately R$ 539,421. This calculation accounts for income tax and assumes a monthly net rate of about 0.93% based on current interest rates.

In a separate analysis regarding a R$ 4.4 million windfall, such as a lottery prize, investment choices significantly alter year-end results. According to a study by Elos Ayta, investing in the Ibovespa could yield a median return of 30.29%, potentially increasing the capital to over R$ 5.7 million within 12 months. Other options include the IDIV dividend index, BDRX, and the CDI. Conversely, the study noted that investments in the Euro, Dollar, and Bitcoin showed negative median performance in the analyzed period.
