Investor Relations Day in Milan Highlights AI Impact and Geopolitics
The Associazione Italiana Investor Relations (AIR) held its annual IR Day in Milan, branding the event as its flagship gathering. President Gianfranco Di Vaio opened the conference, emphasizing the growing influence of artificial intelligence on investment decision‑making and on the role of Investor Relations Officers.
Key sessions examined how AI tools are reshaping investor presentations, data analysis and market narratives, while a separate panel explored the geopolitical pressures affecting capital markets. International speakers included author Oskar Yasar, James Tickner of Nasdaq, Miriam Fernandez of S&P Global Ratings, Fidelity portfolio manager Alberto Chiandetti and Moncler’s Elena Mariani. Industry executives such as the CFOs of Edison, Snam and Iveco also participated.
The programme concluded with a talk by EPFL physicist Ambrogio Fasoli on long‑term technological change. AIR announced a new partnership with the University of Turin to launch a summer school on Financial Communication and Capital Markets, underscoring its focus on professional development and networking within the IR community.
