Investors propose 38,636 billion VND expansion of Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet-Dau Giay expressway

A consortium of investors, including CII Infrastructure Investment and Development JSC and IMIC Infrastructure Construction JSC, has submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister to expand the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet-Dau Giay expressway. The project is proposed under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model using 100% private capital, without utilizing state budget funds.

The total estimated investment is approximately 38,636 billion VND. Of this amount, roughly 18,636 billion VND is intended to reimburse the state budget for previous investments in the Dau Giay-Vinh Hao section, leaving approximately 20,000 billion VND for the completion of the expressway.

The proposed expansion covers a length of about 200 km, spanning Dong Nai (over 51 km) and Lam Dong (over 148 km). The project aims to upgrade the route to a full 6-lane capacity with a design speed of 100-120 km/h. If approved, the implementation period is expected to run from 2026 to 2030.
