Argentina pulls off 144% debt rollover in July 2026 auction
Argentina’s Ministry of Economy completed the second debt auction of July 2026, receiving offers of 13.98 trillion pesos and awarding 12.21 trillion pesos. The result represents a rollover of 144.53 % and fully covered the approximately 8.5 trillion pesos of bonds maturing that day.
The Treasury also secured an additional US$309 million through the AO29 dollar‑linked bond, priced at an 8.33 % TIREA (8.02 % nominal) within a US$2 billion issuance cap. Other instruments placed included a new LECAP due 16 Oct 2026, the TMVE8 bond linked to the TAMAR rate, a CER/TAMAR dual‑currency bond, and two dollar‑linked securities (D30S6 and D15E7). The auction generated net financing of about 3.76 trillion pesos, providing liquidity to support the government’s inflation‑reduction agenda announced by President Javier Milei.
Officials highlighted the extended duration of the portfolio by 0.92 years and the removal of 5.5 trillion pesos of maturities to 2028. The next domestic debt auction is scheduled for 12 August.
