INVICTUS Veterans Relay honors Romanian military heroes
The 13th edition of the INVICTUS Veterans Relay, organized under the auspices of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, is currently underway to honor Romanian veterans and heroes from all wars. The event involves over 1,000 volunteers across the country participating in a relay symbolized by the colors of the national flag.
On the Red Route, the relay reached Tulcea, where the baton was handed over at the Independence Monument. The Tulcea team, led by ultramarathoner Sorin Andrici, is continuing the journey toward Brăila. Local gendarmerie members have joined the tradition to express gratitude to those who served the country.
In a separate leg of the initiative, participant Adrian Teodorescu is traveling by bicycle toward the Republic of Moldova. The five-day journey aims to visit 38 locations, including cemeteries and monuments dedicated to Romanian soldiers. This includes visiting sites such as the Honor Cemetery of Romanian soldiers in Călărași and the Miclăușeni Cemetery, which was reconstructed following destruction during the Soviet era.
