IO Interactive delays 007 First Light for Nintendo Switch 2

IO Interactive has announced a delay for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the James Bond video game, ‘007 First Light’. Originally planned for release in the summer of 2026, the title is now scheduled to arrive in March 2027.

The developer stated that the additional time is necessary to optimize the game specifically for the Switch 2 hardware to ensure a high-quality and stable experience. This delay applies only to the Nintendo console; the game was previously released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 27, 2026.

‘007 First Light’ explores an early stage of James Bond’s career, following an inexperienced agent before his MI6 recruitment. The game features Patrick Gibson as the young protagonist. A playable demo will be available at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
