007 First Light receives free Extended Operations DLC

IO Interactive has released 'Extended Operations', the first major free DLC for the spy-action game 007 First Light. The update introduces several highly requested features, including a New Game+ mode and a new '00' difficulty level designed for veteran players. This higher difficulty increases enemy reaction speeds, makes combat more lethal, and tightens parry windows.

New content includes the 'Valhalla Protocol' TacSim activity, which allows players to drive the Aston Martin Valhalla through the mountains of Slovakia, and the 'Jungle Heist' mission set at The Pearl resort in Vietnam. The update also adds a dedicated Photo Mode, new weapons such as the Squire Marksman Rifle and Storm 12 Gauge Shotgun, and various cosmetic outfits.

In addition to new gameplay, the DLC includes over 700 technical fixes and improvements to animations and AI. While this update is free, the developers have previously noted that a future paid expansion featuring the character Bawama, played by Lenny Kravitz, is also in development.
