IO POSSO project reports increased accessibility in Puglia
The twelfth season of the IO POSSO project has concluded, reporting significant growth in accessibility for people with motor disabilities in the Salento region of Puglia. Between June 14 and September 13, the project's four participating locations—San Foca, Gallipoli, Porto Cesareo, and Torre Lapillo—welcomed 632 guests with disabilities.
Including family members and caregivers, the total number of participants reached 1,896, marking a 10% increase compared to 2025. Total seasonal attendance rose by 25% to 4,520 people. Approximately 60% of guests traveled from outside the province, with notable representation from Lombardy and Campania, while 5% of visitors arrived from abroad, including Germany, Belgium, France, and Argentina.
