Ioan Sima Art Gallery launches educational program in Zalău

The Zalău County Museum of History and Art has launched an educational initiative titled ‘Words Become Images. With the Class in Front of Art,’ aimed at students and teachers in Zalău. During October and November 2026, the Ioan Sima Art Gallery will host this program to explore the exhibition ‘Pray Out Loud. With a Brush in Hand. Following David’s Psalms’ by artist Horia Țigănuș.

The exhibition features 150 works inspired by the reading of the Psalms, which the artist translates into a visual universe of lines, colors, and gestures. The educational program is free and designed to help students explore the relationship between words and images through observation, interpretation, and creative expression.

Activities are tailored to primary, middle, and high school levels. The experience includes a video introduction to the artist's universe, followed by opportunities for students to examine original works, draw, and discuss their personal interpretations in a setting that respects diverse opinions and beliefs.
