Ioanna Gaka accused of practicing medicine without credentials
New allegations have emerged regarding Ioanna Gaka, an unlicensed practitioner involved in the case concerning the death of Giorgos Mazonakis in Vardali, Domokos. Witnesses and former patients describe Gaka presenting herself as a specialist in various fields, including dietetics, biology, and hematology, despite lacking formal qualifications.
In the village of Domokos, residents reported that Gaka recommended phlebotomy treatments and specific dietary restrictions, such as avoiding pork and cow's milk, to treat various ailments. One patient claimed Gaka used a device to perform blood analysis via finger pricks, claiming she could identify cancerous cells through a computer interface.
In a separate complaint, a patient reported that Gaka promoted “quantum medicine” as a method for weight loss and detoxification to improve the success rates of IVF treatments. The patient described being subjected to a scanning machine with wires attached to her limbs and head. Gaka reportedly suggested that these treatments would reduce the risk of cancer and improve skin health. The patient also noted that Gaka prescribed specific vitamins and dietary regimens, such as consuming rye pasta and tsipouro.
