IOM Poland coordinates migration integration and fact-based dialogue

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Poland is advancing initiatives focused on the long-term integration of migrants and refugees. In Rzeszów, IOM Head of Mission Sanja Celebic Lukovac met with local and regional authorities, including Rzeszów Mayor Konrad Fijołek and Podkarpackie Vice Voivode Wiesław Buż, to discuss refugee needs, crisis response, and winter shelter readiness.

Discussions also addressed supporting migrants' access to the labor market and enhancing self-sufficiency. Additionally, the IOM has initiated a Coalition for Fact-Based Dialogue on Migration. This coalition brings together researchers, policymakers, and employers to combat disinformation and ensure public discourse is informed by reliable data. The initiative involves collaboration between IOM Poland, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, and NASK.
