ION expands into Mexico as Bespoke SGA Holdings grows confectionery group
ION, the flagship company of Bespoke SGA Holdings, is expanding its international presence through a new joint venture in Mexico. The agreement, signed in April 2026, involves a 35% stake aimed at the trade and distribution of wafer products across Mexico, North America, and Latin America. ION will transfer technical expertise to a partner company responsible for production to support this expansion.
This move is part of a broader strategic transformation led by Spyros Theodoropoulos, which includes an investment program totaling €167.1 million. The group is evolving into a major chocolate and confectionery conglomerate, incorporating entities such as Lavda and the Bulgarian company Interion.
Financial reports for 2025 reflect this new structure, showing a significant increase in consolidated turnover to €209.13 million, up from €135.87 million in 2024. EBITDA more than doubled to €24.61 million, while net profits rose to €15.82 million, compared to €3.50 million the previous year.
