Ionia Sailing Week third race finishes in Preveza, Greece

The 36th International Ionia Sailing Week continued with its third race on the Paxoi‑Preveza course, covering 29 nautical miles. The start was at the southeastern tip of Antipaxos under a light breeze of about 6 knots that quickly intensified, prompting many boats to raise their sails early and create a vivid display of colorful spinnakers across the Ionian Sea.

The finish line was set at the Pantokratoras of Preveza, just left of the channel entrance, marking the end of a demanding and exciting leg of the regatta. Organisers announced that the series will conclude tomorrow with a race to Astako and a closing ceremony.

Results were posted for each class. In the ORC Club category, the overall winner was GLAFKI II (skipper Kostas Priftis, Corfu Sailing Club). The ORC International class was topped by ALLEGORIA (skipper Ioannis Argyrakis, Delfini Sailing Club). Other podium finishers included OKYROI II, ROSIKALISCA, MALTESE FALCON, KORONI II, TOLMI, KALLISTI, ISIDOROS, and NEL VENTO I across the A, B and C divisions.
