IonQ executives sell $513,000 of stock as Q1 revenue beats forecasts and new quantum encryption product launches

Three IonQ executives – director Gabrielle Toledano, director Kathryn Chou and senior adviser Raymond John – sold a total of about 8,329 shares worth roughly $513,000. All sales were executed under Rule 10b5‑1 pre‑arranged plans at an average price of $55 per share.

For the first quarter of 2026, IonQ reported revenue of $64.7 million, well above analysts’ expectations and prompting an upward revision of its annual outlook. The company also unveiled the Clavis XG Multiplex, a quantum‑key‑distribution system that can transmit quantum‑encrypted data over existing fiber‑optic networks, targeting the “harvest‑now‑decrypt‑later” threat.

IonQ’s share price hovered near $58, reflecting a roughly 42 % rise on a year‑to‑date basis, despite ongoing questions about profitability in the quantum‑computing sector.
