IonQ raises 2026 revenue guidance following SkyWater acquisition

IonQ has raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $450 million to $460 million following its $1.8 billion acquisition of SkyWater Technology. The acquisition, which closed on July 31, 2026, integrates SkyWater’s semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure with IonQ’s quantum technology, creating a vertically integrated, full-stack quantum platform.

This move marks a shift from pure physics research toward the industrialization of quantum computing, focusing on fabrication, packaging, and supply chain control. The company aims to use these combined manufacturing capabilities to support its roadmap toward commercial-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing. The updated financial outlook includes SkyWater’s financial contributions from the date of the acquisition through the end of the year.
