Ionuț Cercel joins Farul on loan from FCSB in €900,000 deal

FCSB president Mihai Stoica announced that 19‑year‑old right‑back Ionuț Cercel will spend the 2026–27 season on a one‑year loan at Farul. The move was confirmed on the sports programme “Fotbal Show”. Farul received €900,000 from Gigi Becali’s side, comprising a €500,000 transfer fee and additional clauses activated after the loan began. Cercel, who signed with FCSB in February 2025 on a contract running to 2030, had made 14 appearances for each club before the loan. The agreement allows Farul to use the player while FCSB recoups part of the investment made for the youngster, who was originally seen as a key under‑21 option for the team.
