Iowa Hawkeyes face offensive injury setbacks ahead of Northern Iowa game

The Iowa Hawkeyes football team faces several offensive injury concerns heading into their Week 3 matchup against Northern Iowa. Head coach Kirk Ferentz indicated that starting tight end DJ Vonnahme is unlikely to play this Saturday. Vonnahme, who was the team's leading receiver last season, is currently considered day-to-day with his availability expected to improve in about a week.

Additionally, starting running back Kamari Moulton is listed as day-to-day following physical play in a recent game against Iowa State. Backup running back L. J. Phillips, Jr. is also recovering from a lower leg injury sustained against Northern Illinois. If Vonnahme is sidelined, the Hawkeyes are expected to rely more heavily on tight ends Tony Diaz and Reece Vander Zee.
