Iowa State athletics prepare for golf classic and football matchup

Iowa State University athletics are seeing significant activity across golf and football. The Cyclonitas golf team is heading to Norman, Oklahoma, for the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club following a successful team victory at the Badger Invitational. Freshman Emma Zheng led the team to its first win of the season, securing an individual title in her first tournament.

On the football field, the Cyclones hold a 1-1 record and are preparing for a Week 3 matchup against the Bowling Green Falcons. Following a narrow 16-13 loss to Iowa, the team looks to improve its standing. Attention is focused on quarterback Jaylen Raynor, who aims to improve his passing efficiency against a Bowling Green defense that has struggled with coverage.
