Iowa volleyball loses two matches at Big Ten/SEC Challenge

The University of Iowa volleyball team concluded its participation in the Big Ten/SEC Challenge with two losses in Starkville, Mississippi. The Hawkeyes fell to Mississippi State in four sets on Thursday and to Alabama in four sets on Friday.

Against Mississippi State, Iowa secured a third-set victory after trailing 24-20, but ultimately lost the match 3-1. Ksenija Tomic recorded a double-double with 16 kills and 14 digs, while Jenna Meitzler contributed 57 assists and 14 digs.

In the match against Alabama, Liv Mogridge led the offense with a career-high 15 kills. Despite strong performances from Hannah Whittingstall and Meitzler, Iowa lost the match in four sets, bringing their season record to 3-2.
