Iowa volleyball: New high school rankings and Iowa Central victory

Iowa high school and collegiate volleyball saw significant updates in recent rankings and match results. In high school rankings released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, Norwalk has ascended to the No. 1 spot in Class 4A, displacing Sioux Center. In Class 2A, Union has moved to the top position, swapping places with Grundy Center. Meanwhile, Waukee Northwest (Class 5A), Humboldt (Class 3A), and Ankeny Christian (Class 1A) maintained their respective No. 1 rankings.

At the collegiate level, the No. 4 ranked Iowa Central Tritons volleyball team secured a victory over North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 23-25, and 25-14. The win brings the Tritons to a 13-1 overall record and 4-0 in the ICCAC. Cooper Griffin led the performance with 23 kills, while Annie Elbert contributed 36 assists.
