Iowa women's soccer defeats Iowa State 2-0 in Cy-Hawk Series

The University of Iowa women’s soccer team defeated Iowa State 2-0 in the Cy-Hawk Series rivalry match. The Hawkeyes secured the victory with an early goal from Kylie Cino, who converted a penalty kick in the third minute of the game after drawing a foul in the box.

Iowa dominated the match offensively, outshooting the Cyclones significantly. The Hawkeyes recorded 13 shots in the first half alone, while Iowa State struggled to create opportunities. Despite the shutout, Iowa State goalkeeper Eme McClenahan recorded 10 saves during the contest.

With this win, Iowa improves to a 4-1 record on the season, while Iowa State falls to 2-2-1. The victory marks the fourth consecutive year that the Hawkeyes have won this in-state rivalry matchup.
