IOWN Global Forum and Chunghwa Telecom partner on quantum-ready All-Photonics Network in Taiwan

Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., Fujitsu Limited and 1Finity Inc. have signed a two‑year Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the deployment of an All‑Photonics Network (APN) in Taiwan. The partnership builds on an ongoing APN verification program (2024‑2026) and aims to incorporate quantum‑safe networking, high‑capacity, low‑latency optical links and energy‑efficient infrastructure for future communication needs.

Separately, the IOWN Global Forum announced an expanded partnership with the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). Under the updated MoU, CNCF’s Composable Hardware in Disaggregated Infrastructure (CoHDI) project will be integrated into the IOWN APN, enabling disaggregated hardware sharing across optical networks and providing “scale‑across” capabilities for AI‑native data‑center workloads.
