Ipanema flashmob promotes Rio Off Club fashion shows
Concept stylist Fernando Torquatto and designer Guilherme Tavares organized a fashion flashmob in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, to announce upcoming capsule shows. The intervention took place at the intersection of Visconde de Pirajá and Joana Angélica streets, featuring models in black attire and a red bus to evoke a glam-rock aesthetic.
The event serves as a preview for two shows scheduled for October 11 and 17 at Marina da Glória during the first edition of Rio Off Club. Running from October 8 to 18, the club is designed as a lifestyle hub for discounts and experiences across fashion, beauty, gastronomy, pet, children's, and technology sectors.
The featured collection, Toda GT Upcycle Woman, draws inspiration from 1980s glam rock and utilizes upcycling techniques. Designer Guilherme Tavares incorporates materials ranging from luxury fabrics like satin and organza to unconventional items such as empty tire chambers.
