More than 100 leading scientists from 56 countries gathered in Bhopal, India, from 3 to 7 August 2026 for the Fourth Lead Author Meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Climate Change and Cities. The meeting, hosted by the Indian Institute of Forest Management with support from the Indian government, focused on addressing review comments on the Second Order Draft and preparing a final draft that will be circulated to governments before publication.
