IPCG to host European competitiveness and AI conference in Lisbon

The Portuguese Institute of Corporate Governance (IPCG) will host a conference titled ‘Competitiveness, Innovation and Regulation in Europe’ on October 27, 2026, at the Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB) in Lisbon.

The event aims to discuss how the European regulatory framework impacts corporate competitiveness. The program will bring together administrators, legal experts, and corporate governance professionals to address several key themes.

Key discussion topics include European regulation and competitiveness, board capacity within an international context, and two dedicated panels on artificial intelligence. The AI sessions will focus on the role of boards in innovation and technology, as well as the social impact and talent management aspects of AI. The conference will be opened by IPCG President João Moreira Rato and concluded by General Council President António Gomes Mota.
