IPES certifies 48 police officers in cyberintelligence and forensics

The Higher Police Education Institute (IPES) in the Dominican Republic has certified 48 police officers following the completion of specialized diplomas in “Cyberintelligence” and “Forensic Informatics.”

The training program is part of a triangular cooperation initiative involving Colombia, the United States, and the Dominican Republic, supported by the International Narcotics Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) office of the U.S. Embassy.

Participants from the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), the Central Criminal Intelligence Directorate (DINTEL), and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) received instruction on technical procedures for analyzing digital evidence and conducting investigations into technological crimes. The training included specialized instructors from the National Police of Colombia to share expertise in these fields.
