iPhone 17 ties with Galaxy S26 Ultra in DxOMark camera tests

The standard iPhone 17 has achieved a score of 157 points in DxOMark camera testing, placing it in a tie with Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra. This represents a 10-point increase over the previous iPhone 16 model.

A significant factor in this improvement is the upgraded ultrawide camera, which features a 48MP sensor—an increase from the 12MP sensor used in previous generations. The device performs strongly in video recording, offering high-quality stabilization, fast focus, and realistic color reproduction.

However, the device lacks a dedicated telephoto lens, relying instead on digital zoom from the main camera. This limitation impacts its performance in zoom-heavy scenarios and certain portrait modes compared to more advanced models.
