Apple iPhone 18 Pro faces reports of discoloration and speaker issues

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series features significant hardware upgrades, including the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process and a variable-aperture main camera. The device offers improved battery life, reaching up to 34 hours of video playback, and a redesigned, smaller Dynamic Island. Storage configurations range from 256 GB to 2 TB.

However, early users have reported several hardware concerns. Some owners of the burgundy and black models have noted discoloration or fading around the rear camera lenses, which may be linked to the anodized aluminum coating process. Additionally, reports have surfaced regarding unexpected popping or crackling sounds coming from the speakers, particularly during system navigation or brightness changes. While some users suggest these issues might be software-related via iOS 27, Apple has not yet officially confirmed the cause of these defects.
