iPhone 18 Pro faces hardware reports and fraud concerns
Following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple is facing several technical and security challenges. Users have reported hardware issues, including strange clicking or crackling sounds from the earpiece speakers and discoloration around the camera lenses on certain models, particularly the Burgundy and Black versions.
In Hong Kong, police have reported over 1,500 cases of credit card fraud totaling approximately HK$30 million ($3.82 million USD). Fraudsters allegedly exploited a loophole in the Apple online store that bypassed one-time passwords and mobile app verification, using VPNs to mask their identities.
On the commercial front, JD.com reported rapid delivery success in China, fulfilling orders for over 30,000 customers within the first hour of launch. Meanwhile, accessory makers like MOFT have unveiled new product lines for the series, and software updates like Final Cut Camera 2.4 are introducing manual aperture controls for professional videographers.
