iPhone 18 Pro faces color fading reports and hardware updates
The iPhone 18 Pro series is facing various reports regarding hardware performance, aesthetics, and market availability. Users have reported color fading issues, particularly on the Burgundy and Black models, where discoloration appears around the camera module. While causes such as UV exposure or chemical reactions are being discussed, Apple has not issued an official response.
On the technical side, the device features customizable Pro Controls for managing aperture, shutter speed, and white balance via a capacitive button. However, reports indicate that Apple may have opted for 12 GB of RAM instead of a planned 16 GB upgrade, potentially due to global memory chip shortages and cost pressures.
Market trends show price adjustments in certain regions. In Vietnam, the iPhone 18 Pro Max has seen slight price reductions, while older models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max are seeing significant discounts. In Germany, MediaMarkt has offered promotional Dual-SIM configurations to lower effective monthly tariff costs for the iPhone 18 Pro.
