iPhone Duo reports of inner display cracking along hinge FAST-MOVING

Shortly after the launch of the iPhone Duo, numerous users have reported significant defects involving the inner foldable display. Reports from various regions, including Australia, describe the screen cracking or developing bright lines along the hinge area, sometimes after fewer than 20 folding cycles or within hours of initial setup.

Technical teardowns by iFixit suggest a potential mechanical cause. Analysis using CT scans indicates that a central hinge support component may not retract sufficiently during folding, causing localized pressure that cracks the display. While the device features a matte nanotexture layer to minimize the visibility of the screen crease, the structural failure of the OLED panel remains a critical issue.

Repair specialists note that while Apple has implemented modular designs for some components, such as the dual-battery system, repairing the internal display is extremely costly, with estimates reaching up to 1,719 euros. Some users have reported that Apple is currently providing immediate device replacements for affected units in Apple Stores.
