While the device is anticipated to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series with a starting price exceeding $2,000, concerns regarding long-term ownership costs are emerging. Independent repair experts, including iCorrect founder Ricky Panesar, estimate that replacing the internal foldable display could cost approximately $1,155. This significantly higher figure compared to competitors like Samsung is attributed to the complexity of Apple’s custom hinge and the integration of Samsung Display panels.
