iPhone resale values show significant depreciation in Vietnam

The resale market for Apple iPhones in Vietnam shows significant price depreciation for older models alongside a competitive landscape for mid-range options. The iPhone 11 Pro, which launched in 2019 with an initial price of approximately 31 million VND, is now being sold as a used device for between 5.3 and 7.5 million VND, roughly one-fifth of its original cost.

For consumers with higher budgets, the market offers a choice between older flagship models and newer entry-level devices. The iPhone 15 (likenew, 128GB) is priced around 14.2 million VND, offering a high-quality dual-camera system and a bright OLED display. In contrast, the newer iPhone 17e is available for approximately 17.5 million VND, providing 256GB of storage and the A19 chip with 8GB of RAM, making it a more viable option for long-term performance and modern software features.

While older models like the iPhone 11 series continue to receive operating system updates, they lack access to advanced features such as Apple Intelligence, which requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer.
