Ipiales Chamber of Commerce and DIAN partner to support border businesses

The Ipiales Chamber of Commerce and the Colombian Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) have strengthened their alliance to support entrepreneurs and merchants in the border region. The partnership focuses on improving institutional services, promoting business formalization, and creating new opportunities for the local productive sector.

Key agreements include the strengthening of 'Plan Canguro' to assist businesses in exploring and entering international markets, as well as a permanent training plan tailored to the needs of regional entrepreneurs. Additionally, technical working groups will be established to address customs, regulatory, and tax issues through active participation from various economic sectors.

The alliance also includes social projection activities, such as a donation campaign for Hogar San José with support from the National Army. Iván Flores, Executive President of the Ipiales Chamber of Commerce, stated that the coordination aims to provide concrete solutions for those generating employment and development in the region.
