Ipiales, Colombia Starts Paving Project in Nueva Esperanza Neighborhood
The municipal government of Ipiales inaugurated a road‑paving works in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood. Mayor Amílcar Pantoja, the secretary of infrastructure, community leaders and residents attended the ceremony. The project uses articulated pavement to improve vehicle and pedestrian access, reduce travel time and increase safety for dozens of families who have long requested the upgrade.
The paving is part of the city's urban improvement plan, intended to strengthen local road infrastructure and enhance quality of life. Community members highlighted the project's importance for mobility and expressed satisfaction with the long‑awaited development.
The administration pledged to continue similar investments in other neighborhoods to further improve the city's transportation network.
