Ipiales launches literary workshop to integrate migrant populations

The Administrative Department of Culture of Ipiales is launching a specialized literary creation workshop focused on migratory contexts. This community initiative is designed to promote intercultural encounters and collective construction within the municipality.

Supported by a grant aimed at preventing violence against migrant communities through artistic initiatives, the program seeks to use literature as a tool for social cohesion, empathy, and dialogue in the border region. Cultural manager Jorge David Villareal emphasized that these participatory spaces serve as bridges to provide dignity and visibility to the experiences and memories of people in mobility. The free sessions will be held at the Casa Social de la Mujer.
