Misbah-ul-Haq criticizes PCB coaching standards and systemic issues

Former Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the differential treatment of local and foreign coaches. Following his resignation as chief selector, Misbah alleged that local coaches face disproportionate scrutiny and criticism from fans, media, and the board, while foreign coaches often receive greater authority and more leniency regarding poor results.

Misbah also highlighted systemic issues within Pakistan cricket, noting a lack of investment in long-term development compared to the Indian cricket system. He expressed concern over the limited exposure of young Pakistani players to red-ball cricket due to an emphasis on white-ball formats, suggesting this contributes to players cracking under pressure. His comments follow recent squad changes by the PCB, which included sending several players home during a series in England.
