IPNation launches $100m MENA music and entertainment IP platform

IPNation and Influence Media Partners have launched a new investment platform dedicated to Arabic music catalogs and entertainment intellectual property (IP) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, the platform has set a target investment size of $100 million.

Founded by Anghami co-founder Eddy Maroun and former Multiply Group executive Jose Maria Dot, IPNation aims to acquire music masters, publishing rights, artist brands, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights. The company intends to focus on mature catalogs with stabilized royalty streams, potentially targeting transactions valued between $2 million and $10 million.

Beyond simple acquisitions, the platform plans to develop its portfolio into multi-format franchises, including live shows, film, documentaries, gaming, and immersive experiences. CEO Jose Maria Dot stated that Arabic music and entertainment IP represent an undervalued cultural asset class and that the Middle East is entering an era where culture becomes a scalable financial asset.
