Ipoh lorry driver faces 21 sexual assault charges against his daughters

A 41‑year‑old lorry driver pleaded not guilty in Ipoh's Sessions Court to 21 counts of sexual assault involving his two daughters, aged 13 and 16. The alleged offences occurred between early April and 26 July 2026 at a house in Seri Iskandar, Perak Tengah, and are charged under sections 14(a), 14(b) and 14(d) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

If convicted, the driver could receive up to 20 years’ imprisonment, caning, and an additional sentence of up to five years with a minimum of two strokes of the cane under section 16(1). The court set bail at RM15,750 and imposed conditions that he must not contact the victims or witnesses and must report to the nearest police station monthly. A further hearing is scheduled for 14 September to allow the accused to obtain legal representation. The case was heard by Judge Jean Sharmila Jesudason, with Deputy Public Prosecutor Monisha Pandey leading the prosecution.
