A fatal traffic accident occurred on Jalan Perpaduan near Taman Perpaduan Ria, Tambun, involving a motorcycle and a car. The collision resulted in the deaths of two sisters, 19-year-old Elyana Nasuha Ibrahim and 10-year-old Suhaila Ibrahim, who were traveling to SK Tasek Dermawan.
A third sister, 12-year-old Norhayati Qaliesha Ibrahim, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun.
Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah stated that the motorcycle, a Yamaha EZ 115, was traveling toward Bercham when a Proton Saga, driven by a 19-year-old woman, emerged from a left-hand junction and collided with the motorcycle. The driver of the car was uninjured. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
