IPROSS expands dental coverage for adults and children in Río Negro

The Provincial Institute of Health of Río Negro (IPROSS) has expanded its dental coverage through a new agreement with providers. The measure introduces several new benefits for both adults and children, aiming to strengthen preventive care and simplify administrative processes.

For adults, the coverage now includes general consultations, emergency care, root canals, extractions, and cavity treatments with fillings. For pediatric patients up to five years of age, the plan covers general and emergency consultations, maternal and child health plans, cavity treatments, fluoride applications, fissure sealants, and primary tooth treatments, including necessary X-rays.

The agreement also updates reimbursement rates for procedures such as orthodontics and crowns to better reflect current market costs. Administratively, the system is moving toward digitalization via the official IPROSS application. Providers will now handle authorizations directly through the IPROSS system, and co-payments will be automatically recorded in the affiliate's account. Additionally, the new agreement eliminates the practice of providers charging extra fees (plus) beyond the agreed coverage conditions.
