Ipsos Argentina study shows pets are becoming integral family members
A study conducted by Ipsos Argentina indicates a significant cultural shift in how pets are perceived within the household, moving toward a concept described as ‘interspecies parenting.’
According to the research, 68% of individuals consider their pets to be integral members of the family, while 92% prioritize the health and well-being of their animals. Additionally, 60% of respondents stated that their pet is the most important part of their lives, and 86% noted that animal companionship helps reduce stress.
The study also highlights specific anxieties among pet owners: 69% are primarily concerned about their pets falling ill, 54% fear their pets getting lost, and 42% worry about potential animal abuse.
