Ipswich Town joins Hull City in pursuit of Burnley midfielder Florentino Luis

Burnley midfielder Florentino Luis, a 26‑year‑old on loan from Benfica who became a permanent signing after a clause was triggered, is attracting interest from several clubs. Both Ipswich Town and Hull City are reported to be keen on acquiring him, with Fulham also mentioned as a possible suitor. The transfer window allows Luis to leave on loan after August 1 if Burnley remain in the Championship following their recent relegation from the Premier League.

Ipswich Town, preparing for a return to the top flight under new head coach Gary O'Neil, view Luis as a player with Premier League experience who could help them avoid immediate relegation. Hull City, meanwhile, see him as a combative midfielder capable of operating above Championship level.

The speculation follows Burnley's decision to retain Luis permanently for just over £20 million, after a successful loan spell, and comes amid pre‑season preparations for the clubs involved.
