IPTO updates Analytics tool to increase electricity grid transparency

The Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) has launched an updated version of its IPTO Analytics tool, designed to increase transparency regarding the national electricity system. The tool provides real-time open data to citizens and professionals through a redesigned mobile application and a new microsite on the official website.

Users can access critical indicators including total electricity demand, the national energy mix, and the carbon footprint of power generation. The platform also tracks cross-border electricity flows and includes a European map of wholesale electricity prices to allow for market comparisons.

To support the energy transition, the updated version incorporates new metrics such as hours of zero CO2 emissions and the daily and monthly penetration of renewable energy sources. The interface features a toggle between simplified and detailed views, utilizing interactive charts and maps to make complex grid data more accessible.
