IPV Mendoza warns of WhatsApp scam targeting housing applicants

The Instituto Provincial de la Vivienda (IPV) in Mendoza has issued an alert regarding a fraudulent WhatsApp account using the organization's name and institutional imagery to scam applicants and registrants.

The fraudulent number identified is +54 9 261 753-7749. The IPV emphasized that it never requests payments, deposits, or bank transfers via WhatsApp or telephone for housing management, acceleration, or adjudication.

Authorities have reported the fraudulent number to the judiciary. The IPV clarified that its only official WhatsApp contact is 2613062234. Citizens are advised to protect confidential data, such as banking passwords and verification codes, and to report any contact from the fraudulent number to police or judicial authorities.
