IQM Quantum Computers lists on Nasdaq and Helsinki exchanges

IQM Quantum Computers, a Finnish full‑stack quantum hardware developer, became the first European quantum‑computing firm to list on a major U.S. exchange when its shares began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker IQMX. The listing followed a SPAC merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp, giving the company a pro‑forma cash position of €337 million and valuing it at roughly $1.9 billion. A day later the company debuted on Nasdaq Helsinki, where the stock jumped more than 20 % after opening.

The debut highlights the growing maturity of Europe’s quantum‑technology sector and the firm’s expanding global footprint. IQM has sold 23 quantum computers to customers in Europe, the United States and Japan, including installations at Germany’s Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, Italy’s CINECA, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and a new Quantum Technology Center in Maryland. The company also announced a quantum‑error‑correction breakthrough that could reduce hardware requirements for fault‑tolerant computers.

Investors such as MIG Capital and the Finnish pension fund Varma have backed the IPO, and the dual‑listing provides IQM with broader access to institutional capital as it seeks to scale commercial quantum‑computing services worldwide.
