iQOO 16 camera hardware and imaging technology confirmed
iQOO has confirmed several hardware and software upgrades for the upcoming iQOO 16 camera system ahead of its September 29 launch in China. The device will feature a 50-megapixel main camera equipped with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is claimed to capture 79% more light than the previous iQOO 15.
To enhance imaging, the phone will utilize iQOO’s self-developed Super HDR technology and the NICE 3.0 optical reconstruction engine. The camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel Sony periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The system will also incorporate CIPA 5.5-rated stabilization to improve photo and video quality by reducing hand movement effects.
Additionally, the iQOO 16 is expected to be among the first to feature the Qualcomm sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 processor.
