iQOO and Huawei launch advanced mobile hardware

New hardware developments from Chinese smartphone manufacturers are pushing the boundaries of mobile performance and photography.

The iQOO 16 is designed to balance high-end gaming with flagship camera capabilities. It features a 6.85-inch 2K flat display with a 1–165Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 10,000-nit peak brightness. For gaming, it utilizes a proprietary Q4 chip for ray tracing and super-resolution upscaling, supported by an 8,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging. The device includes a triple 50MP camera array consisting of a primary wide sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens.

In the mobile photography sector, Huawei has introduced the Ruiying Z10, a camera attachment compatible with the Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS. The Z10 provides 10x continuous optical zoom, offering a 24-240mm focal range. It utilizes a 50-megapixel 1-inch-type RYYB image sensor capable of 4K/60p video and 960fps slow motion. The attachment mounts directly to the phone's camera island, allowing the device to handle image processing and interface controls while the Z10 manages the optical hardware.
