iQOO announces Neo 12 gaming smartphone and iQOO 16 India launch

iQOO has announced the upcoming launch of the Neo 12 smartphone, expected to debut in China later this month. The device is positioned as a high-performance gaming flagship, featuring a custom 2K+ AMOLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate provided by Visionox. Technical specifications suggest the phone will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a substantial 9,000mAh battery.

To manage heat during intensive gaming, the Neo 12 will incorporate an active cooling system, including a specialized internal fan and advanced airflow channels. The device is also expected to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

Separately, iQOO confirmed that its flagship iQOO 16 model will be released in the Indian market. While an exact date has not been set, the device was showcased at the India Mobile Congress 2026. The Chinese version of the iQOO 16 features a 2K AMOLED 165Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, and an 8,400mAh battery.
